rap punzel

RAP-PUNZEL
Yesterday on the 12th of November at 11.30 am we went to the hall after morning tea. In the hall we saw Rappunzel . Rappunzel was presented by the New Zealand Playhouse actors. The three actors names are Jane, Jack and Ben.

I think Ben was the funniest actor because he played lots of characters. My favorite character was Rupee because he ripped his expensive clothes off because he wanted to wear his rapping clothes. He loved to rap.I liked the part when Rupee  turned around and we saw him low riding his pants and saw he was wearing crown patterned underpants. This is really slapstick humor.

I think  this show is meant to be for kids from ages 3-40 years old.I especially think this show is not good for elders because they will fall a sleep.

Mary Mackillop Centre
We see a chair that is wooden and brown next to a window. It looks like the teacher’s chair that Mary Mackillop once sat on.When I turn around I suddenly see a photo of the old Christ the King school.I wonder why they changed the school.I realise that I can see the bottom courts where I usually play .

Then I turn back and see people coming into the Mary Mackillop Gallery. They all come rushing in with excitement.

I feel excited too.

The Pukeko

The Pukeko
Once upon a time along long time ago in East Auckland there lived a pukeko that was the fattest bird in the world. He used to have lots of friends but  now that he grew fat his friends disappeared. Then he walked all the way to west Auckland and he found a place to stay. Then he got skinnier and he found his friends. Then he lived happily ever after.

Boom! splash!  that is the sound of a boy jumping off the wharf into the smell of gas.My thoughts for him is if he jumps too much I’m afraid that he can get very sick. But it looked like he’s going to be a man.

As he jumped he held his nose very tight and then he would jump off the wharf. My feelings for him is when he jumps in the water he’s looks brave.

I think he can be a great jumper.

nrl

NRL
NRL is a great sport because it can produce people like Greg Inglis who are super stars.

NRL stands for National  Rugby League. You have to train more than two times a week .You need to have long runs mostly every day.

I think NRL is one way to lose weight. My dad played under 21 ST George and the  Kiwis so how it is an very hard sport can be a dangerous sport in schools.

the way of peace for the moriori

The Way of Peace for The Moriori
The way of peace is important to the Moriori people and these are the reasons how it came about and the symbols that they used for peace.

Firstly their ancestors were named after peace. one ancestor was called Rongomaiwhenua (Peace on the land) the other was Rongomaitere (Peace on the sea). Both ancestors were very peaceful.

Secondly at one time a man named Nunuku made a law because there was lots of fighting. The law said  Moriori must stop war and killing people. Lots of people agreed to it.

The albatross became one of the symbols of peace for the Moriori people. They keep the feather of the albatross with pride. Even a building is shaped like an albatross. The building is a marae.

Their art is beautiful. One of the art works is shaped like the Chatham Islands. The art work shows a Moriori person with 2 albatrosses.

In the middle of the marae there is a memorial post. The post has got all the people’s names who believed in Nunuku’s law and did not fight the invaders.  They died because they believed in the law so their names were written on the memorial post. Other people can now remember their names.

The children of the Moriori can  be proud that their ancestors are written on the posts because they did not fight.

Beauty and the Beast

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST
On Friday the 9th of May the whole of c.t.k school went to the Vodafone events centre in Manukau city. We watched the Beauty and the Beast production by Sancta Maria students. It started at 12 pm. The characters were:
Beauty(Olivia Brown) Beast(Roman Bennett) Gaston(Eljay Florendo) Laton(James Moore) Maurice(Matthew Charlk) Gogsworth(Connor Farrell) Mrs Potts(Keelin weekly) Chip(Aidan van Heerden) Babette(Tayla Sloan) Wardrobe(Michaela ralph-smith)
The music was amazing. The scenery , props  and costumes were fantastic. The lightning and  special effects were  awesome.
I like how big the stage was because Roman Bennett could throw people around the space.

I would like to see the forest with more trees too.  beauty and the beast.jpg
